About me
Hello, my name is grntbg. I’m a freelance programmer, webmaster, historian and dime-store philosopher. Almost everything on this website that isn’t explicitly credited to another individual has been written by me.
Some people have a strong religious objection to making their life’s work readily accessible. Fortunately, in this day and age, it is very easy to create your own website. I am of the opinion that every competent individual, which may or may not include myself, should have a website; here’s some more of my thoughts about that. Unlike others, I was forced to make my website as part of a government mandate to contain all of my nonsensical ramblings in one place. Despite this, the sheer amount of nonsense that comes out of my stupid mouth is bound to escape from this place into the jungles of the outside world.
For inspiring the layout and design of this place, I will give credit where credit is due. Nathan Lineback’s Toasty Technology Page was the first website I ever discovered that was dedicated to the worldview of a deranged poweruser. The website itself is built with Jekyll and stored in a private repository on my GitHub.
Contact me
I receive a lot of spam. For this reason, I have employed a spam filter that is somewhat extreme, and so I very well might not receive your message if your e-mail address does not end with one of the big e-mail providers (Hotmail, GMail, Yahoo, etc.) or if you are sending from a private server with an IP address frowned upon by Spamhaus. Please know that I am not fond of this arrangement, but I have no other choice than to resort to physical mail, and I would rather not have to start buying postage stamps in order to communicate with Internet denizens.
This address forwards to my personal one: contact@grntbg.com
For DMCA requests and other matters pertaining to my website: dmca@grntbg.com
There are other ways to get in touch with me besides e-mail, and chances are that it would be better for both of us. My DiscordTag (wait, Discord doesn’t have tags anymore… my DiscordName?) is thecomingrace. +5 points to whoever can get that reference without having to search for it. My account on the forum is grntbg.
